With a view of the north Cornish coast, The Headland Spa is a fusion of textures from silver birch and cool whites to Ash wood-panelled treatment rooms and just a hint of nautical flare while facilities comprise of a gym, heated pool, Cornish salt steam room, Swedish sauna, aromatherapy showers, hot tub, and a relaxation area.
Thematically in keeping with the seaside location, it is fitting that Thalgo, which since 1964 has been creating marine products for spa and beauty, is one of the main product houses used at The Headland Spa. This is alongside Elemis which aim to be ‘defined by nature’ and ‘led by science’. You can also enjoy a makeover using British brand Delilah; a brand born out of friendship, a passion for cosmetics, and the desire to help women of all ages to look and feel beautiful. There is also a Sports Therapy Room, a vibrant manicure and pedicure area using OPI, and a Rhassoul Mud Chamber.
At a hotel where beach chic is offset by a fibre optic light in the spa reception, you know you are going to get an escape unlike any other. Behind the red brick façade, the grand but relaxed atmosphere created by roaring fires, comfy sofas, and contented dogs is offset by bright, contemporary bedrooms that are suited to romantic breaks and family getaways alike, while panoramic views out to sea abound from the hotel’s perch on the top of the headland.
From the relaxed Terrace to the Veranda in the summer and the fine dining restaurant, food is an integral part of the experience at The Headland. It wouldn’t be a beach holiday without a well-stocked menu fresh from the water, and whether it’s a light bite or an evening to be savoured, it always comes with a view!
