When I booked my Spa day over the phone I wasn’t told that Sunday was also parent and toddler day so imagine my horror when I saw the children in the pool and the noise they were making! This trip was meant to be a relaxing Spa day for my friends Birthday.
The overall appearance of the facilities is ‘tired’ and in need of a good refurbishment. There are two steam rooms and two saunas both of which are quite small, at one point there was three of us in the steam room and it felt like we were practically sat on each other’s knees!
The pool was a decent size as you were able to swim the length of it (once the toddlers had gone). The Jacuzzi was also a good size and in working order.
We had booked the Refresh & Revive experience so received a Back, neck and shoulder massage and also a facial. No faults here, the treatments were very good and relaxing and the ladies were very pleasant.
Included in the experience was lunch, unfortunately they had run out of Avocado for my Chicken & Avocado Wrap. The food was good but pretty basic.
We were there between 10.30-15.30 and during all that time there was no toilet paper in the one toilet that was open at the entrance to the leisure facilities. Regular checks should be carried out to check for things like this and their cleanliness.
We had both been looking forward to a nice relaxing day at what appears to be a nice hotel in a lovely setting but unfortunately we were both left rather disappointed.
