On rainy days you can also travel further afield to visit attractions such as Dartmoor Zoological Park (famed as the basis for the film ‘We Bought a Zoo’ featuring Matt Damon) or Pennywell Farm in Buckfastleigh.
Thurlestone Hotel is located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in South Devon and mere moments from the South West Coast Path. The South Hams is lucky enough to be blessed with some of the most delectable local produce, in particular crab caught off the coast nearby, mackerel and other seafood, as well as locally made ice cream - and the hotel’s restaurant takes great pride in presenting it to perfection.
