Sometimes big city life gets a bit too much, and this is something the Boutique Wellness Spa understands completely, hence their central location in the city centre of Cambridge. Propelled by the concept of a holistic lifestyle and well-being, they take the healing philosophy of physical, mental, and spiritual health very seriously. Their facilities include three dedicated treatment rooms, a Zen relaxation area, a thermal/glacial suite that has experience showers, a steam room, a Finnish hot sauna, and an ice fountain, and finally a fitness suite. It should be noted that this spa is exclusively for women only, with no men allowed.
The products used at the spa are 100% natural and blend in well with their specialised spa treatments, which all aim to fight the daily stresses of life. Your skin is always prepared to receive these treatments and maintain the long lasting effects.
Although the hotel was established in 1959, the building itself dates back to 1850, surrounded by all the historical and impressive sights you would expect to see in Cambridge. There are 40 bedrooms in total, all of which are centrally heated and come with private showers or bathrooms, and guests are guaranteed a high standard of service and comfort when they visit.
Head downstairs for a morning meal in the conservatory and dining room if you fancy a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere while you enjoy breakfast – a freshly prepared continental buffet, or a traditional English breakfast. For a night-cap head down to the residents’ bar, open until 11.00pm every day. No evening or lunch time meals are provided, however right on the hotel’s doorstep is a cornucopia of eateries and bars.
